Domain transfers
The process of transfering you domain to another ISP is called re-delegation. The
steps required to do this depend on the extension of your domain.
co.uk, ltd.uk, net.uk, org.uk & plc.uk transfers
All the above extensions are governed by NOMINET. The process of redelegation requires
your current domain hosting provider to ammend the IPS tag. Don't worry if you don't understand
what this means, your current hosting provider will. You will need to ask them to change the IPS
tag to VITAL before the transfer can begin. To see a sample
redelegation letter click here. Simply change it in the approprite
places and print out onto company letter head. The letter will then need to be signed by
a senior reprasentative of the company and sent to your current domain hosting provider.
Alternatively, you may click here and try our automated letter
of re-delegation generator.
com, org, net & edu transfers
All the above extensions are governed by the INTERNIC. The process of transfering an INTERNIC domain
is somewhat more complicated as the process is heavily burdened with bureaucracy, procedures
and formalities. If you would like to contact us about re-delegating your domain, click
